Midnight Friends

Just over 2 years ago (during the euphoria of the 2010 Soccer World Cup in SA), a good friend of mine Angel asked me: so who are your midnight friends? At a time, I was going to as many games as I could get tickets for, and was forever with mates enjoying the spirit of the moment and always donning smiles. That question seemed so out of place until I took the time internalise it.
